A 48-year-old rapist, Phillip Donald Jason, from Sunshine Coast in Australia, fainted after finding out that the man he allegedly raped was living with the deadly HIV virus.
According to Metro UK Jason was reportedly restless and upset when he learnt that the man he raped was infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
Police investigation says the victim had asked Jason to stop, but he did not, daring the victim to report the incident to the police if he wished.
Jason’s first sexual encounter with the victim however, was consensual, but he later crossed the line and was charged with rape.
Following his arrest, the rapist was made to undergo six months of medical tests and test results showed he was not infected with HIV.
He swiftly pleaded guilty to the charges of rape, robbery and assault and was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
“It’s better to face a jail term than to live with the disease.” he said.
