Akinwunmi Ambode (born June 14, 1963), is the Governor of Lagos State, Nigeria. He was a civil servant for 27 years and a financial consultant before running for public office as Governor in 2015 which he won.
He recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with major stakeholders in building the 4th Mainland bridge. This is regarded by many as a major step in reducing traffic gridlock and fast-racking economic development in the state.
Due to this and many other notable developments he has pioneered in Lagos State, Gov Ambode has been voted the Nigerian Bulletin Personality of the Week.
