During the 2013 press week organised by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun council Gov. Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun called for proactive measures toward eradication of quackery and ethical misconduct in the media industry.
The governor who was represented by Alhaji Yusuph Olaniyonu, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy called for collaboration between NUJ, Police and SSS in tracking and checking fake journalists in Nigeria. He also called for stiffer sentences for those found guilty.
