Governor Ayodele Fayose has ordered the sack of 400 workers at the Ekiti state University, EKSU.
According to him, their appointments did not follow due process. He said appointments into public service must be credible and transparent.
“I wonder why more than 400 persons would be offered employment without the positions being advertised.
“This is unacceptable and the Vice Chancellor must find a way to address the issue and give all interested applicants a level playing field.”
He spoke at the varsity on Tuesday while addressing beneficiaries of the federal government's N-Power scheme.
