The Odua Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ODUACCIMA), on Tuesday advised the Federal Government to close Nigeria’s border posts in the North to contain activities of the Boko Haram sect.

Chief Alaba Lawson, the president of the chamber, gave the advice in Abeokuta at the 1st South West Farmers Summit, organised by the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) in collaboration with the state governments.

Lawson said, "Since some of these people are entering Nigeria through the borders to attack us, I think it should be closed for now".

She lamented the killing of mostly young people, saying,"our youths that we are looking up to in future to lift our country are being killed, it is so sad.’’

Lawson, who is also the Iyalode of Egba Land, said that the present security challenge was a hindrance to development.
