Few hours after NATIONAL MIRROR reported that the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Ochei and his Deputy, Hon. Basil Ganagana, will be impeached on Tuesday, fresh news have emerged that the speaker has resigned.
According to VANGUARD,Ochei may have resigned as Speaker of the House. He is said to have resigned in a bid to avoid impeachment after 19 members of the 29-member House signed an impeachment notice against him pending the resumption of sitting on Tuesday.
Ochei and his aides are yet to issue any statement concerning the resignation rumor.
