On Sunday, over 100 gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, shot sporadically at worshipers in churches at Rantya Low Cost area of Plateau state, however, the attack was immediately repelled by soldiers deployed in the area.
THIS DAY reported that the incident occurred at about 10am when most of the churches were just about to commence services. The incident however created tension in the community as the churches hurriedly rounded off their services to allow the congregations go home.
No life was lost in the attack and the soldiers have been commended for their swift response to the attack.
