Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice, as Manchester United defeated Southampton 2-0 at Old Trafford on Friday night.
It was the first home fixture for manager, Jose Mourinho, who was able to call on his world-record buy, Paul Pogba, to make his second debut for United.
But it was Ibrahimovic who grabbed all the headlines.
First, the former Paris Saint-Germain striker rose above the visitor’s defence, to plant Wayne Rooney’s cross into the net.
Luke Shaw was fouled in the area seven minutes after the break and Ibrahimovic stepped up and made it 2-0.
United are top of the Premier League with a maximum six points.
