Indonesian President Uses Twitter to Give Epic Speech Against Australian Spies

There have been accusations recently of Australia spying on Indonesia, and this has finally led the President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to deliver an interesting ‘twitter-rant’, as TheRegister calls it.

Some of the accusations were that the Australian spies were trying to bug the Indonesian president’s phone, and as expected, it has strained the diplomacy between both countries.

Through the communiqués and media cloud, Australia has been seen switching tactic from the old ‘we can neither confirm nor deny’ trick to the ‘awww, come on, every country spies on the other’, ‘we’re only spying because we want to help people’ strategy without actually doing anything to pacify the already-irked Indonesia.

Indonesia is recalling its ambassador to Australia.

Below are the series of tweets by SBY (the Indonesian president abbreviates his name on Twitter for obvious reasons):

“Since [they] are tapping us & Australia [has] information on many countries, including Indonesia, we've protested loudly. SBY”

“Foreign Affairs and government officials are also doing effective diplomacy, while asking for an explanation and clarification of the U.S. and Australia. SBY”

“Today, I have instructed Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa summoned to Jakarta For Ambassador For Australia. This established firm diplomacy. SBY”

“Since no information [about] wiretapping U.S. and Australia against many countries, including Indonesia, we've protested loudly. SBY”

“Indonesia also asked Australia to give the official answer, the general public and can be understood on the wiretapping of Indonesia. SBY”

“We will also review a number of bilateral cooperation agenda, due to the treatment painful Australia. SBY”

“U.S. & Australian acts very wounding [to] strategic partnership with Indonesia, a fellow democratic country. SBY”

“I also deplore the statement that Australian Prime underestimate the wiretapping of Indonesia, without the guilt. SBY”
