Despite living in an all-female community and despite having taken the vows of "chastity, poverty and obedience," a Catholic nun in Italy has, well, put to bed.
The holy women of the Santa Chiara nunnery in San Severino are still flummoxed after the 31-year old nun went from complaining about her 'stomach cramps' to delivering a baby.
She collapsed from her 'severe pain' and was rushed to a hospital. There the doctors diagnosed her ailment: she was going into labor.
The woman claims to have no idea that she was pregnant, saying that she lived behind closed doors and only with other nuns.
