Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state, has charged residents of the state to support his bid.
Speaking to a mammoth crowd at the Baptist Convention Ground in Benin, venue of his flag off, Ize-Iyamu said, "Edo people, we feel your pains, we hear your cries. That is why we are contesting”.
"We must restore the lost glory of Edo State. Join us to change the change. Join us to change this government of deceit. We promise you, the change we will bring will not put you in bondage, unemployment, kill businesses”, adding that the change he was promising would support agriculture, create jobs, industries and bring even development to all parts of the state. We are tired of deceit. We will give scholarships, bursaries, build schools and provide sporting facilities”
