Ayodele Oke, Director-General of National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and David Babachir Lawal, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), on Monday quizzed Oke for hours at the Villa by the Presidential Investigative Panel probing the $43 million found by operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and the North-east contract scam.
Daily Independent gathered that suspended Oke told the panel constituted by President Muhammadu Buhari about the mysteries behind the $43 million stashed in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos.
“He said that his agency received the money on the orders of former President Goodluck Jonathan in February 2015”, Daily Independent reported.

A source told DailyIndependent that Oke went to the Villa with memos and other documents relating to the transaction.
He was suspended by the presidency last week Wednesday over discovery of large amounts of foreign and local currencies by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an Ikoyi flat.
