Metro Kaduna Govt. Suspends Curfew

A statement released by Ahmed Maiyaki, a spokesman of Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna State, says the 24-hour curfew imposed yesterday in the state capital has been lifted.

The draconian curfew was imposed after the town was rocked by two separate deadly blasts that targeted a former military ruler, Muhammadu Buhari, and a major Islamic cleric, Sheik Bauchi yesterday.

"Following the return of normalcy in Kaduna Metropolis, the State Security Council have relaxed the curfew imposed yesterday after the unfortunate incidences. The public are hereby advised to go about their normal activities and remain calm," the statement according to Sahara Reporters read.
