Katsina State Governor, Ibrahim Shema has sacked two commissioners in a minor cabinet reshuffle.
The sacked commissioners are Alhaji Mustapha Maikudi, Works and Housing, and Dr Asma’u Abdullahi, Women Affairs.
According to a press release by Alhaji Abdulhamid Danjuma, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Press Affairs, the governor has also moved Alhaji Gide Sani, Commissioner for information to the Ministry for Water Resources; Alhaji Hussaini Garba was moved to Information from Health.
Other re-deployed commissioners are Alhaji Jamilu Danmusa, commissioner for water resources and Alhaji Mannir Talba, who were moved to environment and health ministries, respectively. Commissioner for Environment, Aminu Safana, would now be in charge of youths and sports.
The statement also said Alhaji Mua’zu Lemamu, was now the Special Adviser to the Governor on Small and Medium Enterprise; Ahmed Maidabino, Employment and Promotion and Ahmed Danbaba, Poverty Alleviation.
