A non-government organisation plans to test at least 5,000 people for HIV and Aids and distribute 200,000 condoms over the Valentine’s Day weekend.
Aids Healthcare Foundation – Kenya (AHF-K) Thursday said that it will conduct free mass testing and distribution of condoms to promote safe sex during the Valentine’s Day week and also to mark the International Condom Day.
AHF-K Prevention and Advocacy Manager Mary Nyaguthii said a study has revealed that there has been a low uptake of condoms because of mpango wa kando (adulterous) relationships prevalent among married couples.
