Nigeria - Lead City University, Ibadan, is set to unveil a scholarship and bursary scheme as part of initiatives to mark its tenth anniversary, the Pro- Chancellor and Chairman of the university’s Council, Prof. Jide Owoeye, has revealed.
He said the formal inauguration of the scheme would hold during the institution’s graduation ceremony billed for December.
“For the first time, students who normally go to public universities have now been convinced to seek admission into private universities," he said adding that "a lot of students who ordinarily do not think they can afford private universities coming in.
He added that the reduction in fees as well as the scholarship and bursary the institution is giving to deserving students, would ginger students’ interest in the institution.
