The two men who hijacked a Libyan plane has been arrested.
The men, suspected to be supporters of Late Muammar Gadaffi, hijacked the plane with 118 passengers on board. It was a domestic flight from Sabha and bound for the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
Instead, the Afriqiyah Airways Airbus A320 was diverted to Malta International Airport.
A film about a plane hijack was being shot at the airport when the hijacked plane landed.
The passengers were eventually freed by the hijackers.
Both men were eventually arrested as soldiers boarded the plane.
Maltese Prime Minister, Joseph Muscat, initially said that the men had been armed with pistols and a grenade, but later tweeted that the weapons appeared to be replicas.
