According to the Migration of Remittance Factbook 2016 report, most African immigrants don't leave the continent- they migrate to other countries in Africa.

The most preferred destination for migrants in Africa are:

1. Ivory Coast
2. South Africa
3. Nigeria

Also, Nigeria is the fifth emigration country in the continent behind Somalia, Burkina Faso, Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo.
