Politics Media Power: How Obama’s PR Team Continues to Transform APC into a Nightmare for the President

Last year Nigerian Bulletin brought you news that the All Progressives Congress had gotten the backing of the political consulting firm founded by the Obama administration confidante David Axelrod, and that it was going to play a role in seeking the re-election of General Muhammadu Buhari.

Washington Free Beacon has today stated that David Axelrod may have had more ‘participation’ than initially disclosed.

Recall that the firm has confessed to having helped the APC in the past, but said that it stopped in March 2014 (shortly after the Boko Haram sect abducted the Chibok girls.)

However, the emails between the APC members and advisers show that this wasn’t the case, and that AKPD has been working (lowkey) on the Buhari campaign against President Jonathan.

The emails retrieved span the period between September 2015 to January 2015, and in the emails, Free Beacon says, AKPD polling and other things are regularly discussed.

Olubunmi Adetunmbi, an APC member, reportedly wrote in an email to Kayode Fayemi: “The meeting went well and the report well received. [Gov. Rotimi Amaechi] will meet with the AKPD team tomorrow to discuss the facilitation of the event but no dates fixed yet.”

Another email attributed to Osinbajo (sent to Fayemi) reads: “I also think the AKPD surveys also clearly showed that the South West is the battle ground for this election.”

Sources say that the Buhari campaign’s singular, disciplined and targeted messages are reminiscent of a campaign run in America seven years ago.

I am not thinking hausa of today is hausa of yesterday. They can not sit down for that history of last repeat itself. Hausa yuroba igbo have learned. That anybody who look for outsider to come into our midst is not able to rule. For example during late cheif abiola winning with the support given to him. He than went out to america to declare his presidency. Then ibb used this to campaign against him. Is it the man who can rule you to leave his land to another country. That is how people mind change. They should know that we are nigerians but not theirs. We make decissions best for the interest of our people. The year of slavery is over and we are not going to be there no more. Nigeria which way to go is now the is in pernaty kick. If not body come to your than your friend or neighbour or friend nothing can do you. I will like the president gej to terminate eu monitor. As this will bring kios to the election . Why we calling for monitoring. When ghana did their election it was african leader observance. Why country like nigeria will invite breking element as monitoring. With the grace of god revealed what would have happened if election was held. I think this we need our tradition power put punish to those who are behind our down fall,. Whether outside or inside. Our economic was strong.
