The Nigerian Aviation Professionals Association (NAPA) in a statement signed by Mr Abdulrasak Seidu, its General Secretary has appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan to allow the Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah, to continue her transformation of the industry.
"From our private investigation, we discovered that the aviation sector was one of the most developed in Nigeria under the present President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration,'' NAPA said.
"Also for the first time in Africa’s history, Oduah’s tenure as the Aviation Minister has produced Dr Olumuyiwa Aliu as the President, International Civil aviation Organisation (ICAO).
"With the rehabilitation of the airports and the upgrading of the navigational facilities, she is working hard to sustain Nigeria’s category one status,’’ the group said.
NAPA, therefore, appealed to President Jonathan to discountenance the antics of a few "enemies of the nation' who were plotting her downfall by attacking her most faithful and productive loyalists."
