Chief Judge (CJ) of Nasarawa State, Justice Suleiman Dikko may sanction magistrates or judges of lower court who adjourn cases unnecessarily.

Dikko gave the warning at Keffi Prison during a working tour of prisons in the state. He said unnecessary adjournment of cases was one of the several factors causing delays in the administration of justice in the state.

He appealed to judges to conclude cases brought before them and pass judgment in good time to prove to the common man that the court is the last hope.

The chief judge further urged the police to file capital offences directly to High Courts to enable judges to conclude the cases on time.
