According to Premium Times, the Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Damishi Barau, on Monday morning withdrew his membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, tendering his defection letter to the state secretary of the party, Mustapha Galadima.
The Nasarawa State interim Chairman of the APC, Stanley Buba, confirmed the development, saying "he was under suspension before now. I don’t know whether it’s the suspension that made him to quit but all the same, we wish him well in his future endeavour."
Also speaking, the Director of Press Affairs to the Deputy Governor, Danjuma Joseph, said that his principal would soon make a public announcement.
