It's impeachment season, while some battle hard to save their jobs others quietly prepare to take charge. The deputy governor of Nasarawa State, Dameshi Barau Luka has hoisted a new People’s Democratic Party (PDP) flag in front of his office.
Daily Trust reported that the renewal of the party’s symbol in front of the Luka's office is seen as an indication that Luka and his party are determined to take over governance of the state if the impeachment plot against Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura succeeds.
The new flag was reportedly hoisted at the same time new flags were mounted at the secretariat of the PDP along Jos Road in Lafia.
Luka defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in March and has not entered his office since his defection.
