Nigeria's former aviation minister, Stella Oduah has been honoured with the Ikenga Award by a gathering of eminent sons and daughters of ‘Ndi Igbo’. The award was presented to the former minister in recognition for her contributions to the aviation sector.
According to CHANNELS TV, Oduah and other Igbo indigenes were presented with the award at a ceremony held at the convention hall of the Nike Lake Resort Hotel in Enugu State.
Ben Ugwu, Director-General, Ikenga Award for Excellence, said that those given the awards had contributed in no small measure in uplifting the ideas that had made Nigeria a role model.
Representatives from the aviation sector who were present at the event lauded the former aviation minister, they said she had made remarkable contributions to the growth of the sector and had left a good record.
