National President of the Igbo socio-cultural organization, in a statement signed Tuesday has told Senators planning to impeach President Jonathan to tread very carefully indeed, especially as one must consider the ramifications with special regard for national interest.
The group has urged the senators to remember that every severe action has severe recoil.
Part of the statement read:
“President Jonathan comes from a bloc that waged war for three years with bare hands against an international conspiracy that backed the Federal Government forces and even at that finally resorted to unspeakable measures to stop the war, and these measures are no longer applicable,” the group said.
The group has also told members of the National Assembly to refrain from heating up the polity with fair consideration for the masses who suffer when there is crisis.
