The National Assembly has agreed to pass the budget on March 31, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the coordinating minister for the Economy said yesterday as she announced plans for the extra borrowing.
The Nigerian government had planned N4.75tn for 2015 but due to the fall in crude oil price, it had slashed it to N4.3tn, while changing the oil benchmark twice in the process.
