The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has restored “regulatory services” to MTN Group, the South African telecoms firm announced on Tuesday.
NCC had prevented MTN from raising tariffs and launching promotions in October last year after it failed to cut off 5 million unregistered SIM cards.
This also led to a $5.2 billion fine being imposed on the company, which has been slashed to $3.9bn. Both parties are still negotiating about the fine.
