There is confusion in Nigeria over the whereabouts of a police report which says that the senate standing orders 2015 used to inaugurate the 8th assembly was forged.

The police had sent an initial report to the office of the Attorney General of the Federation for proper legal advice but the AGF office had sent the report back to the police, asking them to conduct a better investigation of the allegation.
While the police insisted on Tuesday that they had sent the report to the Ministry of Justice for possible prosecution of suspects, the ministry official said the report had not been received.
There are reports however that the police had yet to return the report to the ministry.
There had been much noise over the status of the report with several individuals calling for the annulment of the senate following news of the report.
Senate leader Bukola Saraki had said nothing should be done until a copy of the report is seen and vetoed.
