EFCC to Seize Diezani's Assets in America

According to a report from The Nation, the EFCC is in the process of securing rights to seize assets of ex Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke located in America. This is part of a $10bn investigation, the report said, adding that EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Magu just returned from the United States where he discussed with the authorities over the issue.

Zamfara Religious Killing: CAN Reacts Hotly, Calls for Emergency Meeting

The Christian Association of Nigeria, Northern Chapter, has stated that it will resist any attempts to islamize Nigeria, especially by the north. The body was reacting to the recent brutal murder of 8 persons in Zamfara state over an alleged blasphemy of Prophet Muhammad, and the murder of a Redeemed Pastor in Kaduna who was returning from an evangelical trip.

Katsina Inmate Arraigned for Attempted Suicide

A prisoner in Katsina state has been charged to court for trying to kill himself. Abubakar Mustapha, accused of being a member of a gang of thieves in Dutsin-ma town, is on trial for trying to commit suicide while in police detention, an offence the police say is contrary to Section 231 of the Penal Code.

Nigeria's Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, has issued a statement warning state governors from reducing the salary and hours of work of their workers.
