A 23-year old Nigerian-American man, Dominic Adesanya was arrested on Wednesday after he jumped over the White House fence.
According to the UK Guardian, he was arrested immediately after jumping the fence by secret service agents. As the story goes, immediately he landed on the other side of the fence, Adesanya lifted his shirt to show the agents he wasn't armed.
The video feed showed him kicking and punching one of the security dogs that attacked him.
A statement by the Department of Homeland security reads:
“At approximately 7.16pm an individual climbed the north fenceline of the White House. The individual was immediately taken into custody on the north lawn of the White House by Secret Service uniformed division K-9 teams and uniformed division officers.
The subject has been identified as Dominic Adesanya, 23 years old, Bel Air [Maryland]. Charges are pending. Adesanya was unarmed at the time of his arrest.”
Two security dogs were also injured during the scuffle, and have been taken to a veterinarian.
An Instagram post on Adesanya's page would indicate that Dominic Adesanya is anti-Obama. The post was captioned: ‘Voted for this B #ImpeachObama.’
