The National Judicial Council, NJC, holds meeting in Abuja to discuss some pending issues including petitions pending against some judges.
The NJC will also consider the appointment of the Supreme Court Chief Registrar.
Two candidates, Aliyu Ibrahim, who is presently the Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal since 2009 and Ahmed Saleh, who is currently acting as Supreme Court Chief Registrar are being considered for the position.
The appointments of judges to the National Industrial Court, is also another agenda at the NJC meeting.
