Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, has said it will today conduct its primary election to elect the flag-bearer of the party, ahead of November 26 governorship election in the state.
In a statement issued in Akure, the state capital yesterday by the state publicity secretary of the party, Hon Banji Okunomo, the primary election will hold at The Dome in Akure .
According to Okunomo, not less than 840 delegates are expected to elect the flag-bearer of the party at the congress.
A former Attorney General and commissioner for Justice in the state, Mr Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) and former PDP Deputy governorship candidate in 2012, Mr Saka Lawal will slug it out in the primaries.
