Acting President, Prof, Yemi Osinbajo is currenly giving democracy day speech to mark the second year anniversary of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.
Osinbajo is standing in for President Buhari , who is away in the Unite Kingd0m for medical follow- up.
Highlights of the speech:
- Today marks the 2nd anniversary of our assumption of office.
- We are thankful to God for giving us hope as we have faced challenges of the past two years.
- In the North East of our country, Boko Haram that openly challenged our sovereignty has been put on the back foot by our gallant military.
- In the last two years, close to 1 million displaced persons have returned home and 106 of our daughters from Chibok have regained freedom.
