A meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-West leadership caucus held on Monday night in Abuja, has finally resolved the tussle over the slot of PDP national secretary zoned to the zone.
It was gathered that the meeting convened by Chief Olabode George, one-time Deputy National Chairman of PDP, South-West, in the spirit of genuine reconciliation, unanimously agreed to support Professor Wale Oladipo, to continue in office as the PDP national secretary pending the suit of the former occupant, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, at the Supreme Court.
According to a source at the meeting,”we have agreed that Oladipo should remain the national secretary and will be presented for ratification at the coming national convention but if the Supreme Court rules in favour of Oyinlola, there is nothing one can do than to obey it and allow Oyinlola to continue.”
