Former president Olusegun Obasanjo has renewed his efforts to end the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This time, Obasanjo has moved to reconcile the national chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, and the sacked but Court of Appeal-reinstated national secretary, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
Justice Abdul Kafarati of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had sacked Oyinlola on the grounds that the congress that produced him from the south-west was in disobedience to a court order. The Court of Appeal had on Wednesday reversed the verdict.
