Nigeria - According to recent reports, governors under the Peoples Democratic Party are angry with the party's National Working Committee members.
The governors led by Ondo state gover Olusegun Mimiko had a meeting with the NWC members, led by acting chairman Uche Secondus on Thursday.
The governors are angry with the NWC members over
1. Their refusal to call a NEC meeting to enable the party to appraise why it lost the last general elections.
2. Their alleged corrupt dealings, levelled against them by the party’s workers.
3. Embezzlement of party's funds.
However the NWC members said the party was waiting for the outcome of the Post-Election Assessment Committee of the party before calling for the NEC meeting.
Another meeting was scheduled for next week.
