AHEAD of the 2015 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State has said that the Supervising Minister of Education, Chief Nyesom Wike, is qualified to contest the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Though Wike, who is the financier of the PDP in the state, has not officially declared his interest in the governorship position, there are indications that he may be gunning for the post next year.
There has been a heated debate over the governorship interest shown by Wike, who hails from Ikwerre and the same senatorial district with the incumbent state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi.
