The crisis rocking the Rivers State House of Assembly took a new dimension on Tuesday when the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Mbu, issued a directive to the 31 members of the State House of Assembly to sign an undertaking to be of good conduct on resumption of sitting.
This came on the heels of the refusal by Mr. Evans Bipi, the leader of a group of lawmakers engaged in a face-off with Governor Rotimi Amaechi, to accept the ruling of a High Court in Ahoada restraining him from parading himself as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
