Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina on Tuesday distanced President Muhammadu Buhari from the current scandal involving the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
According to LEADERSHIP, Speaking on Kakaaki, an early morning programme on Africa Independent Television (AIT),yesterday, Adesina said, ''You do not know this President. This president will not orchestrate anything. Anything that is unconstitutional or amount to an under-hand deal, this President will not orchestrate it.
''[He is] straight-forward, plain and decent. Maybe that was what he expected everybody to do. He didn’t think anybody was going to subvert the process. That is why the National Assembly is where it is, but [there is] no orchestration.
''This is not a President that will subvert the rules in any form. He expected everyone toplay straight; unfortunately, it did not happen that way and we have what we have now''.
