Famous home-grown rapper, Remilekun Safaru, well known as Reminisce, has publicly opened up to say though critics term his local rap songs as foul and filthy, he is getting wealthy off it.
“I don’t think anyone has given indigenous rappers any chance, we took it by ourselves. We just decided among ourselves that we need to make people know what we have to offer. Indigenous rappers own the crowd,” he said in a Vanguard News report.
The artiste claimed that music fans love to relate with songs in indigenous languages and appreciates them better.
According to the report, the artiste publicly declared that “It’s not about calling indigenous rappers razz and local. More people want to be razz now; they think razz is the new cool. Luckily for me, I am selling razz music and I am getting rich off it. “
The report further indicated that the indigenous rapper said his unique voice is what makes him stands out among his peers.
