President of the Southern Kaduna People's Union, Dr Ephraim Goje, told members of the Constitution Review Committee on Thursday in Abuja that the union had fulfilled all the requirements stipulated by the committee for the creation of a new state.
"What was missing in our earlier request was the signatures of the current sitting representatives, but now we have updated this mandate to suit the requirement of the 7th Senate.’’
Goje said with a proposed population of 3.4 million people and abundant human and natural resources, Gurara State when created, would be very viable.
Gurara state is to be created from the present day Kaduna State.
