The Rivers state chapter of the Peoples Democratic member has lost a large chunk of its members due to rumours that the leaders of the Party at the State and Local Government levels are forced to join the Ogboni Fraternity.
According to DAILY POST an unnamed member of the PDP who just returned from Brazil said that Local Government Exco who were sponsored to Dubai to watch the World Cup were allegedly made to fill the membership forms of Ogboni. The newly initiated members were allegedly given $6000 each.
The unnamed member also alleged that members of the State Exco who are currently in Dubai under the pretext of going for ‘Capacity Building’ are there to endorse their total support for the Exco led by Felix Obuah as well as the leader of the Party in the state, Nyesom Wike.
