On Wednesday, there was a major political clash around Rumueprikom community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers state before the scheduled visit by the state Governor Rotimi Amaechi; This day Reported.
A traditional ruler in the community, Chief Anthony Owabie, was also alleged to have shot his son, Clement, for refusing to join the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Angry youths then stormed his residence which where the fight started from. Eight persons were injured in the clash which attracted a large number of PDP, APC supporters.
In other news, the Rivers state Government has blamed, Nyesom Wike, supervising minister of education for the clash.
