Russia is set to pull out of the International Criminal Court, ICC.
AFP reports that Russia will formally withdraw it’s signature from the founding statute of the International Criminal Court. Russia is a signatory to the Rome statute but Moscow has not ratified the treaty.
On why the country was pulling out, Russia’s foreign ministry said, “The court did not live up to the hopes associated with it and did not become truly independent.”
