Nigeria - Supporters of Sen. Bukola Saraki have taken the senate presidency battle to the spiritual helm as the senate elections draw closer, Punch reports.
Supporters of the former Governor of Kwara State, on Saturday offered prayers for him to actualise his ambition.
The prayer sessions, coordinated by a former Special Adviser to the Kwara State Governor, on Communication and Strategy, were led by Christian and Muslim clerics comprising 9 delegation from the Christian Association of Nigeria and league of imams from Kwara South Senatorial district.
Also, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Kwara- South, Jimoh Balogun, said Saraki, who represents Kwara Central and also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Ecology and Environment, was qualified to lead the Senate.
