Following various controversies trailing the submission and missing of the 2016 proposed Budget as submitted by the Presidency to the national Assembly, the Cable online platform has screened and highlighted areas where increase and reductions were made in the two version of the budgets.
Meanwhile, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki has also hinted Nigerians that the Upper House will only be working with the copies submitted by Mr. President during its joint sitting last December.
TheCable obtained both copies of the budget and highlighted the disparities between the two versions of the 1,810-page document. Most of the changes made were relating to the state house and the presidency in general. Fresh N3.9 billion was included for routine maintenance of the presidential villa, while the amount stipulated for the purchase of BMW salon cars was reduced from N3.6 billion to N340 million.
