Hon. Baba Shehuri Mustapha, the ministerial nominee from Borno state and former House of Reprsentatives member was cleared today by the Senate at ongoing ministerial screening.Baba Shehuri, whose resume showed that he is a grassroots politician as one time local government Councillor and Chairman responded to only one question from the Senate president on ways of improving the local government administration in Nigeria before he was asked to take a bow.
He said, from his wealth of experience in local administration, financial autonomy is an essential ingredient of improving the third tier of government in the country.
