According to ThisDay newspaper, senior Nigerian military officials are upset at America's indifference over the death of the man knwn as 'Shekau'.

The American government is yet to make good its promise on a bounty placed on the Boko Haram leader.

It would be remembered that in June, 2012, the US Department of State had tagged Shekau a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist" and placed a $7 million bounty out for anyone who could provide information leading to his arrest/death.

Since the reported death of the terrorist leader, however, the USA has gone silent and has refused to acknowledge it at all.
