Aminu Tambuwal, speaker of the house of representatives said that remaining in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP would have made him richer ; THE CABLE reports.

Speaking on Sunday during a town hall meeting in Tsafe Emirate, Zamfara state, Tambuwal said, ''Many patriotic Nigerians who felt the need to change the course of our country have protested the inept administrative style visited on this country''.

''They made their voices known by abandoning the PDP and teaming up with progressive-minded Nigerians. Remaining in the PDP would have the easy option for us. We would have been richer and would been enjoying the benefits of being in the same political camp with the federal government. But we chose a different option because we felt enough is enough. We felt Nigeria deserves better leadership that is why we are in the APC.

''So a vote for PDP would be undignified. We must re-discover our self-worth as a people; we must move the country forward''.

You are a rock of honesty sir. God will bless the efforts you made while in PDP to change the country.

It is good that you have now seen the light only a few weeks to the elections and joined progressives like Atiku, Saraki, Amaechi, El Rufai and let us not forget all former military heads of states, dead and alive.

Jokers! We cant blame them. Look at what happened in the NLC elections

may be he's just telling APC that he needed more than they are currently offering him or else he would go back to where he was coming from... its not too late after all

Aminu Tambuwal would sure coast to victory at the Gubernatorial elections in Sokoto. Regardless of other people's opinions about him, he has succeeded in making the opposition stronger in the lower House. And that is what democracy is all about.... the opposition should have a strong voice in the Legislature.

Why are people deriding him for saying that he rejected money and opted out of PDP? Just shows that you would rather he remained there.

Alas he has left, so 'make una deal with am'.
