Nigeria - Another round of fuel scarcity is set to hit Nigeria if the federal government fails to pay subsidy arrears to petroleum product marketers for the importation of Premium Motor Spirit, Punch reports.
The Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria in a statement yesterday said despite previous assurances from the government to reimburse the marketers for under recovery as verified by the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, it had failed to honour the agreement.
The marketers warned that if the situation was not resolved on time, it would halt importation which could lead to another round of fuel scarcity in the country.
